Laurie is a transplant at heart, moving out to Seattle after graduating with her doctorate in 2011 from the University of Indianapolis.  After excelling in athletic training and orthopedics, she combines the study of biomechanics, evidence-based practice, neuroscience and individualized manual therapy/exercise programs to promote return to functional activities all while viewing the body as a holistic, interrelated system. In addition to her background as a former collegiate soccer player, Laurie has worked with several professional athletes and performers while serving outreach to the 5th Avenue Theater and The Paramount. While she enjoys treating all spinal and peripheral injuries, Laurie has a specific interest in persisting pain and higher complexity cases that often require multidisciplinary skills.

Laurie has an immense passion for continued education and multidiscipline learning via treatment of the human body as an integrated unit. She works heavily alongside dentists, optometrists, naturopathic doctors, ENTs, strength coaches and nutritionists as needed for individualized treatment of complex conditions. Partially stemming from her prior journey through chronic pain and post-concussive disorder, she set on a quest for treating the entire system via eclectic application of vestibular/visual and proprioceptive training , while becoming one of approximately 275 clinicians in the world holding the Postural Restoration Certification. She has pursued additional certification in dry needling, sleep and airway health, myofunctional therapy, nutrition coaching, CrossFit coaching, and advanced her skills with strengthening the peri/postpartum and perimenopause/menopause populations.  She works to empower her clients through education and refinement of movement patterns to promote quality of life.

When she’s not nerding out on all things health and wellness, you can find her spending quality time with her husband and friends; exploring the world and chasing PRs at her Crossfit gym, Loft Fitness. Despite living most of her life in the midwest and the pacific NW, Laurie’s roots are in Pittsburgh, PA which holds her allegiance during football and hockey seasons… you might even hear her use some Pittsburghese during a session.

At the time of PRI Credentialing, providers are required to submit verification of current licensure or certification status to determine eligibility for PRI Credentialing. It is the responsibility of credentialed providers to update the Postural Restoration Institute if their license or certification has expired, been suspended, or revoked, so that they can be removed from the PRI Find a Provider map. As Postural Restoration Institute places this responsibility on providers, it cautions consumers that they should not rely on Postural Restoration Institute’s website as evidence of a provider’s current licensure or certification status. Instead, the Postural Restoration Institute recommends that patients and clients wishing to verify a provider’s current licensure or certification status contact the relevant regulatory boards or reach out directly to the provider to ask for current verification of his or her licensure or certification. The Postural Restoration Institute is not liable for and disclaims any responsibility for services performed by PRI Credentialed providers.
