Dr. Emily’s passion for physical therapy began at a young age when she attended therapy sessions for her older sister, who was recovering from a spinal injury sustained in a plane crash. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences (2004) and her Doctor of Physical Therapy (2006) from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Emily spent several years working in busy outpatient clinics, treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions, from joint replacements to sprained ankles and low back pain in individuals ranging from weekend warriors to collegiate athletes. During this time, she achieved her Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) designation and became a Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Her additional certifications in TRX sports medicine, Astym, and functional dry needling enable her to help patients rehabilitate various orthopedic injuries while promoting overall wellness.

In 2022, Dr. Emily opened Be You Physical Therapy & Wellness to provide more personalized care and spend more one-on-one time with her patients. To further address the root causes of her patients’ recurring injuries and pain, she discovered Postural Restoration in 2021 and achieved her Postural Restoration Certification in 2025. She currently helps patients in the Denver, CO metro area return to pain-free living.

On a personal note, Dr. Emily loves adventure and embracing all that life has to offer. She cherishes her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephew back in Michigan. Her travels have taken her to the savannas of Africa, the mountains of Argentina and Peru, the islands of the Caribbean, and various locations across the United States.

At the time of PRI Credentialing, providers are required to submit verification of current licensure or certification status to determine eligibility for PRI Credentialing. It is the responsibility of credentialed providers to update the Postural Restoration Institute if their license or certification has expired, been suspended, or revoked, so that they can be removed from the PRI Find a Provider map. As Postural Restoration Institute places this responsibility on providers, it cautions consumers that they should not rely on Postural Restoration Institute’s website as evidence of a provider’s current licensure or certification status. Instead, the Postural Restoration Institute recommends that patients and clients wishing to verify a provider’s current licensure or certification status contact the relevant regulatory boards or reach out directly to the provider to ask for current verification of his or her licensure or certification. The Postural Restoration Institute is not liable for and disclaims any responsibility for services performed by PRI Credentialed providers.
