I struggled to understand the unfamiliar new concepts and applied these to patients as best I could, however, it was clear to me that a major effort/focus on delving into these ideas, integrating them together and into my practice was a necessary step to a next-level competency, so I took the leap.
For improved knowledge of the material and marketing for our clinic.
To further expand my knowledge and expertise with PRI.
To join this elite group of people who have a passion for thinking outside the box.
To set me apart from others in the industry. I also couldn’t see myself treating patients any other way.

It allowed me to study and evolve my understanding and application with PRI.
I found the process helped guide me with what I needed to fine-tune and focus on.
It helped me learn more about the science of PRI, the concepts, the why and how.
The application really helped me to formalize my thought processes with PRI and to understand what the Institute prioritizes in a PRC.
The critique of my case studies encouraged me to review the PRI treatment algorithms and make sure I was making clinical decisions based on PRI test/re-testing and proceeding in a logical manner. It helped me plan my treatment programs better.
I still use the thought process for the case studies with all of my patients. The application process was not easy and took a lot of time, as it should.
I learned more from the comments (on my application review), which deepened my understanding.
The application assists in that it forces one to do a deep dive into the philosophy and concepts to detemine one’s level of understanding, as well as give the Institute information about the preparedness of the individual applying. I feel it assures a level of competence that I, as a peer, want in the PRC group for networking and referring within the group.
It helped keep me on track for success. I did find the case study process tough; some people are efficient, but at that time it took me 15 visits to discharge… yikes!
Researching articles forced me to look through a different set of lenses. Writing up case studies allowed me to reflect on how my assessments influenced the progression of my treatments and whether they were effective.
It helped guide my critical thinking and progress the depth of my understanding of the concepts.
I will be the first to admit that I did not come close to fully understand the correlations from head to foot or how the neurology, respiratory and musculoskeletal systems were so integrated with the PRI approach during the review process. But by starting the process and pursuing your PRC, even though it can be intimidating, it will undoubtedly change your clinical treatment and outcomes.
The application and feedback from the application was a course in itself. You learn a lot about PRI and your methodologies by justifying each intervention and typing out reasons as to why you choose each technique. It really elevated my understanding of PRI more than a class can, as that is mostly passive consumption of the information. I really like the in-depth application process as it will weed out those who are simply seeking more letters behind their name and dabbling in the PRI science. One must be very committed to PRI in order to complete the application process.
Having feedback on my application helped me fine-tune my understanding and my practical application of PRI concepts. The whole application process was worth it!
It made me really think through why I was choosing the treatments and the progressions I was doing. Finding the research articles helped me better understand how the general research world really is reinforcing the concepts presented in PRI. The general research world, however, often does not see it that way.
The application required comprehensive review and pursuit of understanding in areas of weakness. It was helpful in integrating concepts from different coursework.
It really forced me to interrogate my understanding of the technique and stretch-wrap my understanding of the principles around research and interrogate research in a new way.
Having to complete case studies helped prepare for oral questions regarding case studies presented by the testing panel.
Was encouraged I was making good clinical decisions. Especially when I was a solo practitioner at the clinic where I was working.
The process was extensive and challenging in a very positive way. I was able to look at PRI from many different perspectives and think about how best I could apply it for better patient outcomes and professional satisfaction. This has been quite a journey and as I look back at the process almost 5 years later, I can’t believe how much the application process jump-started my PRI path.
Yes, review of information in directions not directly utilized in clinic or coursework prior helped to explore the multiple ways a PRI thought process can branch!
It was the growth process. I had to slow down and study, apply, reach, think, understand. Indispensable.
Found process incredibly beneficial – better than any other formal educational process since it truly did force you to not only prep for a test (so learn basics) but got you to apply, and be able to communicate, what you were learning to both patients (i.e. the case studies) and to current research (article critiques).
The application process really helped me connect clinical practice and the PRI coursework, I learned a ton, it was the most valuable part of the PRC process.
Great learning process to deepen my understanding of PRI
The case studies where the most significant for me in preparing for the testing. In addition I think a lot of self-study of taking home studies and reading over the manual were helpful as well. Lastly, spending countless hours giving in-services and struggling through the material clinically were all part of the journey.
Yes – It directed me towards the areas I needed to focus on. The comments were helpful in pointing out where I was strong in my understanding and implementation of PRI techniques as well as where I needed to go back over some basic principles and primary course work.
The application process was the part of the process that prepared me the most and challenged me in ways I had not expected. The reviewers’ responses were also helpful to understand aspects that I was thorough versus, areas of my practice that required further attention.
Doing my case studies and explaining the rationale of what the exercises were actually doing was very helpful.
Having to critically look over why I chose the decisions that I made in the case studies and then to have a more in-depth look into the different techniques I use daily.
Intensive studying brings up questions to get answered at testing.
Review process made me think deeper into the questions asked and push myself further.
Case studies helped me to really put pieces together to better assess appropriate techniques for my patients. It was a lot to have to do, and it took a long time, but overall I thought the process was necessary for the Institute to properly assess who is truly ready to test. I think it helps to maintain the integrity of the Institute knowing that every PRC is highly qualified.
I had gotten out of the habit of reading peer-reviewed journals as much as I used to. I enjoyed following trails through different authors & topics. Helped me see how limited so much research is by not considering left versus right. Also case studies were enlightening, I found I would have treated the patients differently even a few months later after studying and then writing them up.
I really had to go through each section to look up, review, and research each topic. It was a great opportunity for honest self-reflection.
It drove me to dig into my manuals in a new way. The journal review section sharpened my ability to express why PRI is outside the box. I examined my practice patterns more deeply. The value of the process was apparent to me as I put the application in the mail, even if it had not been acceptable. It revealed my weaknesses to me as well as my strengths and provided me with a vision of where and how to grow next.
I really enjoyed “the process” and felt that the application was both challenging and rewarding. The reviewers’ constructive criticism was very helpful overall and helped me to focus more on the primary courses and my areas of weakness. It felt good to “study” for a test which aided in the process of synthesizing the material.
Forced review of all materials, case studies forced me to focus on interventions as I was giving them to patients and the case studies forced me to reflect on the successes and failures of the interventions given.
Helped give me feedback about whether I was on the right track with my thinking. Making my self-study guide allowed me also to bring the entire concept together.

It has saved me some money on courses. I like being able to be a PRI certified center and have my contact info on the website.
I certainly have had a lot of people find me because of this credential and it helps having this certification when talking to other providers and potential clients.
It’s a community of practitioners that acknowledge the science of PRI and I feel better about referring my patients who move to a practitioner that is PRC/PRT.
The value actually grows. As PRI becomes more well-known, being credentialed becomes a more important item.
I get many referrals and good patients as a result. Doctors are looking for PRCs to refer to and patients are seeking PRCs. In the next couple of years after credentialing, I gained a lot from repeating courses and was able to do so as they were half price or free as a lab assistant. PRC Conference and community are also a big benefit. When I was seeking credentialing, I was hoping the PRC updates would include more clinical information similar to what the PRIVYs contain and was a little disappointed with the updates initially. PRIVY has filled that void and I am benefitting from it greatly.
Absolutely (worth the investment)!!! I also feel that it is important to continue to study with the Institue as more information is always emerging and staying current.
It does require significant time to complete the process and money, of course, but geographically for me it was important to remain competitive in private practice.
The PRI Framework is not a finite entity. It is a way of understanding human integration. New arenas are constantly introduced. One steps into another dimension when one begins to appreciate the complexity of human function. It is a fulfilling and endlessly fascinating journey.
It made it easier to retake some classes as the cost was half. Also being able to attend the PRC conference has helped a lot with furthering my knowledge.
Absolutely (worth the investment)! I am continuously sought out for my PRC. I am also able to treat my clients in a way that I am 100% comfortable with. I know I am giving the best care.
I believe that credentialing, even self-conferred (i.e. PRI), helps the public choose the practitioner that has mastered the basic level of knowledge to provide competent treatments.
People look at me as the PRI expert in my community. Even still, after several others have become PRCs. I get referrals specifically for PRI several times per year.
Absolutely, it is a huge growth experience, it’s really a rite of passage. I wish there was a level 2 PRC or a renewal process to maintain competence once the PRC is obtained to ensure that there are not individuals out there with PRC that are not practicing PRI or didn’t just get the initials to market themselves. For example, required to attend X hours of PRI CE or an approved CE by the Institute per year to maintain PRC or a renewal exam.
Absolutely! It transformed my practice. 10 years later, I am (still an) all-PRI PT, all day, all patients. It even gave me the confidence to open my own practice in 2014. I attribute PRI with helping me make that big move, and it has been great! My previous employer tolerated my PRI passion, but wanted me to “tone it down.” I couldn’t do it. So I went out on my own. Scary initially, but 5 years later no regrets. Very grateful to the Institute for this gift.
I felt great about my knowledge and accomplishments at the time that I achieved my PRC status. However, since that time I have really learned how much I didn’t know and have continued to learn. I also am sometimes disappointed with select individuals who either 1. Tout their “PRC status” and use it to promote things for individual or financial gain. 2. Seem to have very entry-level PRI knowledge compared to most other PRCs.
The benefits from the learning process from the PRC itself are worth more than the time, money, and effort invested. I frequently receive referrals because of my PRC. My patients, family, and friends appreciate their outcomes as a result of the PRC process.
Absolutely. I grew a lot from the process and continue to learn from the Institute. I also get referrals directly due to my credentials.
I am grandfathered in as a PT, so no masters or DPT. I have taken many continuing education courses and this was meaningful for me to earn this certification.
As PRI principles, techniques, and strategies become more and more utilized, the PRC will provide a way to show core competency in the application of the science.
Our clinic has two PRCs. When we add another PT in the future, they will be encouraged to be certified as well. We have doctors from Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota, whom we have no association with, refer patients to us after finding us on the map from the Postural Restoration website. The same is true for patients who come to our clinic after researching the nearest provider online.
100% worth it. I teach PT students at a university and have had several students recognize that designation and instantly have credibility with them. Beyond that, it has set the stage for my research I want to do in these areas of PRI. I think having that credentialing program really made me delve deeper into the genesis behind even the most “basic” of PRI exercises/assessments.
I learned so much and really enjoyed the challenge of the entire process. The application is such a commitment an I appreciated that. The days with colleagues during the PRC testing are some of my favorite of my professional life. I really enjoyed and cherish the process of earning this and it was absolutely worth the investment!
It is the best credential I have received since being a PT in that it really pushed me to learn more during the process and improved me as a clinician. Additionally, having the PRC info on the PRI website has assisted in a number of patients finding me online for PT services.
It was a means of getting more involved in PRI, more involved with the concepts, and I feel it provided a solid foundation that allows more growth in PRI. It’s difficult to progress in PRI if you don’t have the foundational concepts down, and (the PRC process) provided that foundation.
Wholeheartedly worth it to go through the application process. It was a beast, but forced me to process and digest all the information I had accumulated and try to make sense of it, then communicate it back to see if I actually had it figured out. That was really a valuable process for me. On the flip side, covering the cost of the credentialing, the advanced course, the hotel and airfare all at once was a big hit financially. I do appreciate the PRC discount on courses now though! Overall the financial investment has still been worth it and continues to be as the “PRI Find a Provider” page has helped a lot of people find me.
The PRC has allowed me to carve out a niche within physical therapy in a very crowded marketplace. Physician that work with me know that their patients are getting something special.
It has helped me grow as a clinician and helped us as a clinic. It provides a good foundation and guidance to treat patients from all walks of life. It has definitely been challenging and to this day is still a learning process, but worth the effort in learning.
Clients and physicians/ referring providers look for it and seek out PR certified providers so I find that exciting. But the longer I practice and take more classes, the more you realize that there really is so much more out there. I guess when I first certified, I didn’t fully grasp how entry level it really was. There is so much more finesse and education that is really needed to fully treat some of the complicated patients.
I use PRI every day and feel like I still have to work hard at furthering my understanding in applying treatment to dimensional and system-driven humans. Without the PRC and the related integration of concepts, it would be hard to continue to build my approach to practice.
Patients find me because of my listing on the website. I have been able to assist with classes. I am generally just proud to be part of this group.
It has allowed patients from all over the state to find me through the “Find a Provider” page; the challenging process keeps it prestigious and many other PT colleagues view it as a high achievement because it is not easily obtained/handed out. If it was a simple test and the market was flooded with PRCs, it wouldn’t hold the same weight/esteem that it does. The challenging selection process weeds out those that aren’t serious about it.
I find it more worth the investment than my actual PT degree.
Many times over! This credential is worth earning, not only from a clinical competency perspective, but, being a provider, I have received so many referrals that the original investment is so minor in comparison.
It is one way that patients really seek me out and I feel it separates me out from other PTs in my area. It has linked me to other professionals, like dentists and orthodontists.
I do (feel the PRC was worth the investment). Anything that encourages people to read and critically review published work is worth it. I not only learned about PRI, but also about how to think. Writing case studies provides the opportunity to reflect on one’s treatment process. That is super valuable. I appreciate that it was a one-time fee without needing to renew yearly membership fees. That helps PRC stand above other certifications. I appreciate the discount for courses, the opportunity to assist with classes, and other opportunities PRC afforded me (i.e. creation of an affiliate course).
One room with that many dedicated PRI minds helps illustrate what a committed network of PRC practitioners you have to continue to share ideas and stumbling points with, in order to find constructive treatment options.
Absolutely worth it. Whoever reviewed and gave me feedback were spot on. My weaknesses were highlighted and I had opportunity to grow.
It has exposed me to new avenues and allowed me to continue to grow in my PRI journey, but also identify myself as an instrument of the Institute in my area. It has provided me with valuable experiences and given me confidence to pursue ventures that I never would have thought possible without it.
Re: the time and energy– that amount was needed. It was one of the first educational goals that I actually felt proud to achieve since it wasn’t just a token completion ticket. Re: the financial investment — worth it to me re: increased financial reward — no, the PRC title hasn’t increased my financial rewards – primarily because I already had a good patient base and never really marketed the PRC. I wanted it to make me a better therapist, and it did that, so the cost was worth it regardless of financial returns, and especially when I saw the amount of time and energy that the Institute puts into the credentialing process. I felt I got my money’s worth, and I do like to get the discounts since both the courses (and I) are always evolving, I like to repeat courses often. I do, however, wish that some of the newer courses and/or symposiums were also discounted for PRCs.
Absolutely worth the time and money.
It was quite a struggle for me to travel and spend time away from my family and was one of the hardest parts of the commitment. Overall though it was totally worth spending the time and investment to get to meet the PRI family and becoming part of the family. I honestly feel that the value of the PRC credential holds its weight and will as long as I make the effort to invest in its knowledge requirements. I think, in some ways, having the PRC designation behind my name allows me the insight of knowledge that very few people possess. It very well may have inspired me to pursue my DPT…
Being able to be a lab instructor has helped me develop my understanding more and I have gotten many referrals from the PRI website.
Yes – the return on the PRC investment has been amazing. Referrals to the clinic by interdisciplinary providers continues to grow! The most significant part of the process for me is that it didn’t stop after getting certified. The desire to learn more and grow is as a PRI clinician is addicting. I couldn’t stop now if I tried.
I see plenty of patients from out of town. I’m able to increase my referral sources. Patients love to see it as a marketing tool.
In the past 2+ years since (earning PRC), PRI is a part of my ideology, but not absolute. I feel that the knowledge I gained in a great basis for all other aspects of PT that I practice and absolutely worth it, even though I may not practice PRI as much as my colleagues.
It was expensive for me personally, and I haven’t seen a return on the financial piece yet, because I am employed at a place where the credential doesn’t mean much. However, it is great to have. It will pay off eventually as I take more courses and get the discount (on courses).
Yes, the value is not in just the letters that you get behind your name, but in being a part of the community/family that PRI has become. It helps you to know that you are part of something larger and there is so much more to learn and grow.
It makes it worth it when a patient has the ability to find me on the PRI website. Most patients look for certifications to verify the quality of clinician.
Better outcomes result in improved reputation and more referrals from previous patients. We now have a reputation for being different, in a good way.
You can really feel how much the staff cares about you. The investment of time is really what it is all about. You know that everyone else invested the same amount pf time because they care about PRI and what it stands for. The staff also invest a lot of time back into us, the test takers, and take it seriously so that we get more out than even we invested in ourselves.
It’s an honor to have the PRC credential behind my name because I know that I have a group of people that believe the same thing as me – that we live in one body and our systems need to work in harmony together to keep us functional and happy.
Going through the process, especially in conjunction with taking Advanced Integration, I feel that all of the pieces came together. Investing in PRI is not a “tool in the toolbox”. It is a complete paradigm shift and the money is definitely worth it.
With PRC beside my name, I have a deeper sense of confidence that I know what I know (albeit small), that I have a valid perspective, that my contribution within my work environment is unique and needed to approach the human body with respect and healing power that goes beyond the clinic walls. I am deeply humbled to be a PRC and I cannot express the joy of seeing those letters next to my name.
100%! I am both humbled and proud to be able to represent the Institute as a PRC. I am also truly excited as a clinician to be part of a larger movement that can have a pivotal impact on changes in health care and the future of my profession, as well as many others. PRC is one of the best investments I have ever made!

The test is the culmination of the process. The discussion over the test questions was really good and there were multiple right answers. I liked going over the manual techniques together. It wasn’t just a test, it was another learning opportunity.
It is less overwhelming than I had imagined it to be. Think of it as a great learning experience.
I would encourage them to do it. It’s validation that the Institute acknowledges that you have a basic understanding of PRI and its application.
First: DO IT! Second: Study hard. Third: It’s worth it.
Trust the process.
There is so much to learn and understand that the process helps to expand your knowledge base and ultimately help more and more challenging patients. There is a great deal of contentment when you can help patients reach further than you imagined with their recovery.
Consider the experience of preparation as a self-study course. Find others to share the experience with if possible. Ask questions and challenge yourself. It is an amazing opportunity to expand your insight and perspectives.
Go for it! It is helps you gain a deeper level of learning and understanding of PRI as a foundation.
Very important process to go through if you want to practice PRI.
Definitely worth it! You learn a lot, and realize there’s a lot more to learn!
Don’t be afraid to go all in.
Know the PRI tests and their implications very well.
Do it!!
You need not apply if you aren’t going to be a solid PRI advocate and ambassador. Too many PRCs bastardize the science and go out and teach the concepts and do not give PRI more credit. I believe the Institute should safeguard their intellectual property in every way possible.
Do it!! It is a great learning experience.
Find a PRC mentor to help you through the application. Be methodical when working through the list of concepts.
Do not hesitate. Do it for consistently enhanced outcomes and great professional satisfaction. Worth the effort of becoming a “student” again and reshaping your practice on this new, advanced science. It is quite liberating once proficiency is obtained. It is a true joy as PRI mastery sets in.
Speaking from someone who certified early on in my therapy career, I do feel that I have learned SO much more AFTER the certification through experience with treating and utilizing PRI. I often think the “years of experience” with PRI before you can certify should be longer as I look back to how much I “didn’t understand” at the time of my certification. I also however understand that younger people often have more motivation (and time) to complete the certification process than after more years of experience (and often more family responsibilities). –I realize putting this stipulation in would likely cause a drop in the amount of people certifying, which needs to be considered (but perhaps would increase the quality of the candidates?) Therefore, my advice would be to treat with PRI longer prior to certifying.
It is a wonderful learning process. You will need to put some time into the process but not to stress too much. You will realize that when it is completed, you will have much better PRI knowledge and be thankful you did it.
I found the process of defending your answers to the test very helpful and well done in the sense it could be done in an intimidating way but PRI does it in a very supportive way and respectful way.
This experience was very meaningful to me personally. I am absolutely passionate about PRI and this process was extremely helpful for me and I would encourage anyone considering this certification to follow through and do that.
Applications are professional documents. Treat them that way, use proper writing. Pretend the reader has no idea what you are talking about and you have to explain yourself and your thought processes to them. You don’t have to demonstrate a perfect outcome in your case studies. Be willing to present a failure and reflection on how things could have been different (retrospectively).
Best continuing education experience of my career. Wish all PTs would take the opportunity to experience this learning event.
The networking of like-minded professionals will continue to amaze you throughout your career. I anticipate PRI to continue to be more widely recognized in the medical community with each passing year. I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to be a part of this internationally recognized institute.
One of the biggest movements within Physical Therapy has been of the Human Movement System. You will not get a better understanding of the Human Movement System than with the time/effort put into a PRC process.
Take your time, enjoy the process, and learn as much as you can! Embrace the volume of work and really dive in to your case studies. Also, enjoy your time during Advanced Integration as well as the two days after with your PRC class. I was pretty young when I did PRC and would connect with the PRI staff and fellow class better knowing what I know now. I was too stressed about the testing process!
If you have any interest in becoming proficient in the application of PRI concepts during your clinical career, in my opinion, PRC is a must.
I have (given input to those applying) and it’s always been to go for it!
Just…Breathe.
Be willing to open your mind to new concepts and know that the sacrifice of time and money is minimal compared to the reward of being a part of an elite group of like-minded clinicians.
Plan ahead, give yourself lots of time to prepare and organize materials, case studies, article reviews (plan several months for that process). Take Advanced Integration a year prior to sitting for the PRC, and then maybe again just prior to the exam. Well worth the time to integrate the concepts!
Take your time checking for your understanding of why you are treating the way you are. The packet takes time but it is worth it.
PRC is a game changer. If you are willing to commit to that level – it speaks to your capacity to think outside the PT box. You will get out what you put in and more. Don’t be afraid to say you don’t understand something. Ask questions – try things, ask more questions. Warning – there’s no going back.
It really identifies you as a person who understands, appreciates, and can appropriately address underlying issues affecting pain.
This credential is different than OCS, or any manual therapy certification (I have both), etc. The experience that you go through bonding with fellow testing peers and the relationship developed with the testing staff/PRI faculty adds so much value to the PRC initials after your name. If you are considering getting the certification, it will renew your commitment to continued learning in this area of Postural Restoration. PRC isn’t the end of the journey, it’s the beginning! PRC gave me the confidence to seek in my area collaboration with dentists and neuro-optometrists, expanding integrative services. I would never have started that community outreach if it weren’t for PRC.
It’s a great learning experience that will expand your knowledge in the science.
The intensive process of prepping and testing cannot be replicated just in attending classes and practicing clinically. The time with the testing staff and team input was invaluable.
Listen and learn. Take it all in. Although you may not understand all the “why”s, be respectful of the philosophy and appreciate the time and effort put into the credentialing.
As with many things, PRI is a science that takes time and effort to become effective with. The process helps to focus your mind on applying the basic principles of PRI so that you can evolve into more of the subtleties of the secondary courses and beyond. There is a sense of accomplishment and motivation that is a result of being a PRC and opens the door to collaboration with some of the most caring and competent practitioners I have ever met.
The vast amount of knowledge, networking, sense of family, and support are well worth the investment and time.
Definitely do it, it is an amazing experience, not only because you have the chance to immerse yourself in the material, but you are surrounded by like-minded therapists doing the same.
Understand that PRC is a new beginning to your learning journey, do the best you can, be open to critique, and reflect on how your thinking evolved during the process.
I highly recommend that you take the plunge and remember “when in doubt, all you have to do is breath out.”
Go for it!! Plow forward. This is for you and your growth, not a grade. You will never regret it! PRI nation is on your side and is cheering you on.
Make sure you are doing it for the right reasons. It can’t just be to get the letters after your name. That is not fair to the Institute and to the people who will seek you out because they feel they are going to receive a thorough, special service/product. You need to make sure that if you are going to pursue PRC, it’s because you feel strongly about the mission of the Institute and you are committed to being the best PRI clinician that you can. Also, you have to realize that getting the PRC is not the finish line, but just an important step in the ongoing journey and process of developing your PRI skills.

Take your time, once you decide to apply – review the application requirements and start collecting patient data and/or reading a few extra articles to get a feel for what to look for and how to organize your thoughts in order to complete the application – but maybe just fill in a loose outline of answers. Then, work on improving it for an entire year. So, in a nutshell, start the process a year before you plan to follow through on it. And I would definitely recommend going to AI sometime BEFORE the December you are sitting for PRC.
Take time to sit down and carefully read all the manuals, take notes, and connect the dots to see the big picture.
Find a PRC and let them know that you are pursuing the credential.
Get really good at the basic primary course material and spend quality time on case studies. This is where a majority of the learning comes from. Be prepared for the financial commitment of taking all the course work and travel. I was very blessed that my employer paid for a significant amount of the cost otherwise I may have not been able to afford it. The updated home studies were so important in helping me prepare as well. I have watched all of them and always look forward to the updated versions.
Go for it! Don’t put it off. It is one of the best things I have done for my PT career.
Just start. Start the application process and begin your journey. The journey will be long and difficult, but well worth it. Mike Cantrell told me, “Of course it’s hard. It should be. If it was easy, everyone would do it.”
I would tell them it’s a great family. Great experience. This science is the way of the future. If you want to understand asymmetry and how to help individuals, PRC is the way to go.
Don’t be in a rush; you will know when you are ready to sit for the process. Allow the journey to take you, rather than you guiding the process.
Do it and grow.
Committing to the process is the most difficult step, you won’t regret the work and learning experience.
Becoming a PRC isn’t about gaining the letters behind your name, it’s about the journey those letters represent.
No rush in the PRC, take your time to continue to explore what PRI has to offer and get more depth so that when you do go for the PRC, you can really get more from it.
Do it! The bond that comes from learning together is an important one, professionally, emotionally, and mentally.
Slow down and enjoy it. I wish I could do it again.
Start looking for case studies now. Get LOTS of practice to better your understanding of PRI.
Do it as it will make you a better PT, help you consolidate PRI courses/knowledge and apply it more efficiently. It will improve your confidence!
Trust the process. It’s designed this way for a reason.
Trust the process, don’t give up, give yourself enough time to do the application, even if it takes you longer than expected. Make a study guide, it will be long, but it will be important for you. The process will challenge you, but you will get more out of it than you will ever expect.
Start preparing early. Keep your notebooks on hand and really think about why you are doing and committing to doing rehab in the PRI light vs traditional exercises. It’s worth it!
Do it. It will change your thought process as well as how you approach your patients entirely.
Understand that the application process is comprehensive and requires time and energy. Understand that the Institute deeply values the credentialing process and the ability of the applicant to respectfully integrate the mechanics and science together with human experience of the client/patient. That the process doesn’t end with PRC but that this is really a new chapter of a deeper journey. The process is as much about growing as an individual as a clinician.
Enjoy the experience and spend as much time with your classmates as you can because it goes by so fast.
