Credentialing Programs

Description

The Postural Restoration Institute established a credentialing program in 2004 as a way to recognize and identify those individuals with advanced training, extraordinary interest and devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns and the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute. Postural Restoration Certified (PRC) credentialing program is available to Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, and Chiropractors who have attended the required PRI courses, demonstrated a thorough understanding of the science through completion of the PRC application, and successfully participate in both clinical and analytical testing. To date 250 individuals have earned the designation of PRC under the direction of Ron Hruska.

Description

In 2011, the Postural Restoration Institute established a credentialing program for athletic trainers, athletic therapists, strength and conditioning coaches, exercise physiologists, and fitness professionals as a way to recognize and identify individuals with advanced training, extraordinary interest and devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns and the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute. Postural Restoration Trained (PRT) is a credential available to Athletic Trainers (with Certification through the BOC), Athletic Therapists (with Certification through the CATA), Strength and Conditioning Coaches (with CSCS Certification through the NSCA or SCCC Certification through the CSCCa), Certified Special Population Specialist (with CSPS Certification through the NSCA, and completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher degree), and Exercise Physiologists (with Certification through the ACSM) who have attended PRI courses, demonstrated a thorough understanding of the science through completion of the PRT Application and successfully participated in both clinical and analytical testing. To date, 68 individuals have earned the designation of PRT under the direction of Ron Hruska.

PRI Mission

The PRI mission is to explore postural adaptations and asymmetries and their influence on the polyarticular chains of the body. Our mission is based on the development of an innovative treatment approach that explains the primary contributors of postural kinetic and kinematic movement dysfunction.

PRI concepts continue to grow. PRI now has 243 Postural Restoration Certified™ (PRC) clinicians, 68 Postural Restoration Trained™ (PRT) clinicians, over 100 Postural Restoration Centers™, and 3 primary courses, 4 secondary courses, and 5 tertiary courses. PRI has produced three editions of a CD comprised of Non-Manual Techniques and the first edition DVD of manual techniques. We have also produced PRI Non-Manual Techniques Video Programs. Our website is the primary source for information regarding courses, location of nationwide credentialed health professionals, educational materials, daily news, dialogue and references.
