Live Stream of the Interdisciplinary Studies Summit will take place from 8am-5pm CT each day, and certificates of completion/CE credit will be awarded the following week after completion of the evaluation survey and a short post-test. For more information on whether your state/organization is approved for CE approval, please click on the “CE Approval” tab.

Due to the nature of this Summit with multiple speakers on a tight time schedule, we will take questions from the in-person attendees, but we will not be able to field any questions from the live stream participants.

To participate in the live stream, please make sure that you have reliable internet access, a webcam, microphone and speaker (or a smart phone can be used if you do not have a computer or laptop with this capability) to utilize ZOOM for the live stream course. The ZOOM links for the live stream will be included in the confirmation email. A binder with the Summit Speaker’s presentation handouts will be shipped directly to you 1-2 weeks before the course. *International registrants are discounted $30 (at checkout) since we do not ship materials internationally, however you will be able to print the digital handouts if you so choose. A digital version of the Summit Speaker handouts will be added to your PRI account the week of the Summit. In addition, participants will receive access to the recording of the live stream for 14 days to review the material, and re-watch any material that may have been missed due to connection issues. Those who attend in-person will also receive access to the recording for 14 days. Extensions beyond this 14 day review are not available. ***Please note: In order to receive access to the recording for review, you must participate in person on the Live Stream with your camera on for at least half of the Summit (7.5 hours). If you sign up for the Summit and do not participate in at least 7.5 hours of the live stream, you will not receive the recording and you will not be refunded. Also, once the manuals/handouts have been shipped (or the digital version has been added to your account), there will be no refunds or transfers issued.***

Students studying to become a healthcare or fitness professional at an accredited university are encouraged to enroll, and may be asked to provide enrollment status and program/degree information. The Postural Restoration Institute (BOC AP# P2376) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Certified Athletic Trainers. The Postural Restoration Institute is approved as a CATA Accredited Provider, which enables the provider to offer courses to CATA members as pre-approved for members to earn continuing education units (CEUs). CATA CEUs are assigned to a course based on the following equation: Course contact hours x 0.4 = CATA CEUs.

Thanks for the social events that you gave us both Thursday and Friday after the courses. This made the experience so much more than just continuing education. It humanized the experience in a field that has become very algorithmic, black and white, and seems to consistently put people over profit. Been coming to PRI courses for about 10 years and the faculty has always been welcoming and hospitable but I felt I connected with my colleagues at the summit at a level much deeper than just professionals. Submit Abstract

Abstracts are due July 15th!

Presentations are 90 minutes in length and includes up to two speakers, along with a question and answer period for the last 15 minutes (of the 90 minutes allotted time).

Speakers may be any licensed healthcare and/or certified fitness or movement professional. Speakers do not need to be PRI Credentialed Providers, and PRI welcomes interdisciplinary professionals (i.e. dentists, optometrists, massage therapists, psychologists, etc.). A presentation may include up to two speakers, and interdisciplinary teams (i.e. PT and Dentist) are encouraged to submit an abstract.

Presentation topics should be relevant to the interest of the PRI community and must fall within one of the five summit sub-categories:

Presentation Guidelines

Format & Audience

• This summit will be held at the Postural Restoration Institute® in Lincoln, Nebraska, for in-person attendance only and will not be available via live stream/Zoom.
• Presentations will be either assigned to 75 or 90 minutes in length and may include up to two speakers, along with a question and answer period for the last 15 minutes.
• Presentations may include the following formats:
  • Lecture Presentations
  • Interactive Presentations
    • presentation with demonstration and targeted audience engagement
    • demonstration by the presenter, may involve an attendee, or may be done via video
  • Case Study Presentations
  • PRI Application Presentations
    • presentation on how the science of Postural Restoration® can be uniquely applied to a particular population, syndrome, disorder, profession, etc.
  • Forum Presentations
    • presenter(s) provide an overview on a current topic and pose stimulating questions to the audience for a structured audience discussion
  • Learning Lab (Demo) Presentations
    • short lecture followed by hands-on demonstration/lab session, and concluding with 15 minutes of question & answer session

• By submitting an abstract, speaker(s) are agreeing to be available for scheduling on either day of the summit.
• By submitting an abstract, speaker(s) are agreeing to adhere to the Compensation Policy for presentations (see below), as it will be strictly enforced.
• The individual submitting the abstract must have confirmed the presentation with all speakers prior to submission, if more than one speaker will be participating in the presentation.
• Selection of abstracts is contingent upon approval by the PRI Interdisciplinary Studies Summit Committee.
• Due to an unknown number of abstracts that may be submitted, all abstracts may not be selected. Topics will be selected based on the organization of the program, equipment needs, and quality of content and speakers.
• After July 15, 2025, the Postural Restoration Institute® will only approve a speaker change if the original speaker is unable to attend the Summit.

Deadline

• Abstracts must be submitted no later than July 15th. 
• Incomplete (e.g. missing speaker CV) and/or late abstract submissions will NOT be accepted.

Compensation Policy for Presentations

• $300 honorarium divided proportionally (if there are two speakers, each speaker must actively present for a minimum of 20 minutes); in addition:
  • Complimentary PRI Interdisciplinary Studies Summit Registration & Ticketed Dinner
  • Reimbursement of authorized travel expenses related to the speaking engagement (up to $500 for roundtrip airfare OR mileage reimbursement, and up to three night’s lodging at one of the hotels listed on the confirmations letter.) *If there are two speakers, the $500 travel reimbursement will be split between the two speakers, however PRI will reimburse up to three night’s lodging for each speaker.

Please have the following information available as you will need this to complete the abstract submission process. 

Presentation Information 

• Title of presentation (overall and for presentations by each speaker if applicable)
• Presentation length (overall and for each speaker if presentation includes multiple speakers)
• Sub-category (see “important guidelines”)
• Abstract (150 words or less)
• Learning objectives for the presentation (at least three) – The objectives should follow best practice for learning objective construction. Please use Bloom’s Taxonomy Action Verbs, which must be measurable. Measurable objectives include: “recognize”, “identify”, “explain”, “distinguish”, “evaluate”, “outline”. Please avoid “understand” and “appreciate”, as these are not measurable.
• Two to three keywords (not in the title) that best describe the focus of the presentation.
• Three to five references/sources (e.g. peer reviewed publications) that support the content of the presentation; at least one reference must be within the past 5 years.
