Donna has created a nurturing community at Pilates Central, encouraging continuous learning and creative treatment plans.  She is passionate about integrating Postural Restoration and Pilates principles.

After Donna’s initial introduction to Postural Restoration in 2009 she began incorporating the concepts of Postural Restoration into her practice of Pilates-based physical therapy.  Donna completed her PRC certification in 2012.  Pilates Central was designated a Postural Restoration Center in 2016.

Donna draws on her experience as a professional ballet dancer and as lead Physical Therapist for the Performing Arts program at The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, as well as the chronic pain and arthritis programs.  She was board certified as an Orthopaedic Clinic Specialist (OCS) in 2000 and received her Rehabilitation Certification from Polestar Pilates in 2001, having earned her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois in 1988.

History of Passion

The Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) is built around 30 years of clinical practice associated with recurring successes of specific patient treatment programs. We established reproducible, outcome-based programs based on consistent evidence-based correlations, discovered with patient biomechanical, respiratory, and neurological functional patterns and limitations. My passion for the integrated systems of the body has resulted in an examination and intervention process of the asymmetrical human body called Postural Restoration.
