Donna Olivero has been a PT since 1981 and attained PRC in December 2012. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings as she accompanied her career military husband from post to post in the US and Latin America.  For the past 6 years she has worked at a holistic PT clinic in Arlington, Virginia, and broadened her knowledge in myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, and functional movement capacity.  Since 2009, she has pursued the science of Postural Restoration and found it to be extremely effective in treating a variety of conditions, especially the more medically complex patient.  In 2012, Donna earned the designation of Postural Restoration Certified (PRC) as a result of advanced training, extraordinary interest and devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns, and the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute®.  Donna has a special interest in hypermobility syndromes and in post-concussion syndrome.  She lives in Alexandria, Va. with her husband and has 3 grown children.

History of Passion

The Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) is built around 30 years of clinical practice associated with recurring successes of specific patient treatment programs. We established reproducible, outcome-based programs based on consistent evidence-based correlations, discovered with patient biomechanical, respiratory, and neurological functional patterns and limitations. My passion for the integrated systems of the body has resulted in an examination and intervention process of the asymmetrical human body called Postural Restoration.
