The Postural Restoration Institute™ announces that Jason Masek, MSPT, ATC, CSCS of the Hruska Clinic in Lincoln, Nebraska; James Anderson, MPT of the Rejuvenation Center in Omaha, Nebraska; Raulan Young, MPT of ProActive Physical Therapy in Burley, Idaho; Karen Jiran, MPT, ATC and Carrie Langer, MPT, ATC both of Orthopaedic Sports, Inc. in Lake Elmo, Minnesota have earned the designation of Postural Restoration Certified (PRC). Certification is a result of advanced training, extraordinary interest and devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns and the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute, LLC. The certification process of both clinical and analytical examination took place on December 6th and 7th, 2004 at the Postural Restoration Institute™ following four-days of advanced training. These five individuals are now recognized as the only physical therapists nationwide to be Postural Restoration Certified. Each is currently training under Ron Hruska as an Associate Faculty member and all are passionate about future educational opportunities through PRI. We congratulate these five on their outstanding achievement!

The Postural Restoration Institute™ presented the first course of 2005 in Burlington, Vermont on January 8th and 9th. This was Ron Hruska’s 6th trip to this state that has embraced Postural Restoration as a way of practicing physical therapy. With 50 attendees, the University of Vermont provided a perfect host site for the Postural Respiration course. While at the University, Ron was delighted to offer consultation to the men’s basketball athletic program, which continues to experience a great deal of success with the Postural Restoration approach. We look forward to future course offerings in this area where such tremendous support is evident! Go Cats!

The Postural Restoration Institute™ was excited to offer for the first time, a four-day Advanced Integration course in Lincoln, Nebraska this past December. The course was a success with 32 attendees representing 12 states coming together to consider advanced concepts related to Postural Restoration. These individuals were required to have previously completed at least one PRI course. The course was highly advanced and interactive, reflecting PRI concepts covered in both the Myokinematic and Postural Respiration courses in an integrative fashion. Both non patho-compensatory and patho-compensatory issues were discussed as they relate to the Left AIC and Right BC pattern. Anatomy, examination tests, algorithms and lab were also presented with integration as the focus rather than separated by regions of the body. We look forward to presenting this course each December in Lincoln!
