Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont in 1991. Her passion for learning led her to begin post-graduate studies in Postural Restoration in 1999. In 2005, she achieved the distinction of Postural Restoration Certified (PRC) through the Postural Restoration Institute® (PRI), recognizing her advanced training, deep curiosity, and dedication to understanding postural adaptations, asymmetrical movement patterns, and the influence of polyarticular muscle chains on human function.
Believing that education is a mission of certification, Jennifer has devoted much of her career to mentoring and training physical therapists, athletic trainers, and strength coaches. As a faculty member with the Postural Restoration Institute since 2010, she continues to share her expertise with clinicians across the country.
In 2025, Jennifer launched NextjennPT, a consulting business designed to help new and experienced PRI learners deepen their understanding of the science and effectively integrate PRI concepts into their clinical practice.
Jennifer and her husband, Chris, are former owners of Long Trail Physical Therapy and Poulin Performance in Vermont. After relocating to Pinehurst, North Carolina in 2012, they founded Sandhills Sports Performance, later partnering with BreakThrough PT in 2020 to expand their vision. Following several years as Clinical Director, Jennifer embraced a new role as Lead Physical Therapist for Moore County Schools, bringing her expertise to a broader community setting.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys reading, golfing, exercising, and spending time with Chris. She also loves visiting their daughters, Madison and Devon, whenever she can.
