Colin currently serves as a human performance specialist for United States Naval Special Warfare G8, advising strength and conditioning directives for the Human Performance Program (HPP). Prior to his current role, he spent almost ten years in the the private, collegiate, professional sectors. He holds a masters degree in exercise science from George Washington University and has received certifications through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), USA Weightlifting (SPC), Yoga Alliance (RYT200), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Altis (ACP), Kaatsu, and several other organizations. The Postural Restoration Institute has been instrumental in directing the interventions, protocols, and research enlisted by Colin and the rest of the HPP team at NSWG-8. Particularly intrigued by the roles state, respiration, and posture play in constructing our perception of the world, Colin has spent the last few years endeavoring to integrate ancient practices within contemporary training paradigms. Much of his time outside of work is spent studying under yogis, monks, mystics, and healers from different cultures.

History of Passion

The Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) is built around 30 years of clinical practice associated with recurring successes of specific patient treatment programs. We established reproducible, outcome-based programs based on consistent evidence-based correlations, discovered with patient biomechanical, respiratory, and neurological functional patterns and limitations. My passion for the integrated systems of the body has resulted in an examination and intervention process of the asymmetrical human body called Postural Restoration.
