Brent earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Elon University, in North Carolina, in 2009. He achieved the designation of Postural Restoration Certified (PRC) clinician in 2019 from the Postural Restoration Institute, in Lincoln, NE. He has worked in the Duke University Hospital system, in outpatient, orthopedics and sports medicine since 2010, and has achieved Board Certified Specialist credentials from the APTA in both Sports Physical Therapy (SCS) and Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS). He currently continues to work for Duke University Hospital system, and also provides rehabilitation coverage for the Division 1 athletic department at Elon University, working with athletes from all NCAA sanctioned sports, helping them to recover from their injuries, and to achieve their optimal level of health and sports performance. His passion is in helping athletes return to play, and performing at their highest level of performance, exceeding their pre-injury performance levels. Outside of Physical Therapy, Brent enjoys exercising and playing sports of all types including, running, golfing, swimming, playing soccer and baseball, and playing and watching his kids grow up.

History of Passion

The Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) is built around 30 years of clinical practice associated with recurring successes of specific patient treatment programs. We established reproducible, outcome-based programs based on consistent evidence-based correlations, discovered with patient biomechanical, respiratory, and neurological functional patterns and limitations. My passion for the integrated systems of the body has resulted in an examination and intervention process of the asymmetrical human body called Postural Restoration.
