Will Waterman is a physical therapist living in the Bay Area and is currently working for Stanford Health Care in their Outpatient Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Physical Therapy Clinic in Redwood City. He is also available for private sessions in various gym settings in the Bay Area.
Will obtained his credentialing through Postural Restoration Institute (PRC) in 2017 after years of extensive studying and practice. Prior to this, he went through training to become a Silver Level Bike Fitter through Bike PT's Professional Education Program. Before moving to the Bay Area in 2014, Will worked for 5 years in Chicago, Illinois for NovaCare Rehabilitation at Depaul University's Athletic Department as the primary physical therapist for their Division-1 athletes. He also worked at various outpatient orthopedic clinics in the Chicago area, specializing primarily in the treatment of recreation and endurance athletes. It was here that Will went through a year-long intensive manual therapy program through the Ola Grimsby Institute to obtain his Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT). During this time he also obtained his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Will received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2010 from Armstrong Atlantic State University in consortium with Medical College of Georgia. Prior to this, he graduated from the University of Georgia in 2007 with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science.
Will is passionate about the rehab methods, techniques, and science promoted by the Postural Restoration Institute. He utilizes these techniques in all of his treatments. He specializes in the treatment of chronic and acute conditions affecting the jaw, neck, lumbar spine, hip, knee, shoulder, and ankle.
As a person obsessed with human movement, Will has participated in numerous sports and athletic endeavors over his lifetime. Currently, he competes in Triathlon at the national level but has competed or trained in Olympic Weightlifting, CrossFit, basketball, football, baseball, and swimming. He and his wife are originally from Atlanta, Georgia.
