Dr. Tom is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, master postural and movement specialist, nutritionist, and strength & conditioning specialist. He has been working with patients and athletes of all ages and levels as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide an interdisciplinary approach for over 10 years.

Dr. Tom was able to get involved earlier in his career as a student during his last clinical rotation with the study of human asymmetry and interdisciplinary collaboration. After that he began taking as many courses as he could to further develop an understanding of human asymmetry and eventually lead to partnering up with dental and vision professionals to collaborate on cases for optimal outcomes as well as bridging the gap between pain and performance while working with trainers and coaches.

Dr. Tom has been fortunate to have had great instructors for most of his coursework becoming a PRC in 2016. Tom has continued to take steps to expand his knowledge and understanding of the complexity of the human body through the Applied Integrations Academy™ Master’s Fellowship.

Dr. Tom’s most recent accomplishment and next step forward in pursuit of fearless learning was to join Applied Integration Academy™. As a faculty member, he will further expand his knowledge of human asymmetry and share this knowledge with other providers looking to adopt a thorough interdisciplinary approach to optimize the health and wellbeing of their patients and athletes.

Dr. Tom is based out of Alexandria, MN where he operates his own practice serving the local community and those willing to travel. He offers comprehensive solutions including AIA™ concepts, PRI® concepts, dental and vision integration, sleep and nutrition coaching, and sports performance to improve patient health and unleash athletic potential. He also uses this platform to do community based presentations to help educate people how the body works so they can be empowered to help heal themselves by maximizing functional movement and rest through
respiration and neurology.

Dr. Tom is also the owner of Wildfire Sauna; a wellness based company that rents a mobile sauna and cold tubs for private use as well as community and charity events in the Alexandria Area. The mission is to get the community engaged in doing hard, uncomfortable things intentionally to boost the resilience of the body and mind.

When Dr. Tom is not in the clinic, he is spending time with his wife, son, and daughter while trying to do as much outside as possible, especially on the lake!

History of Passion

The Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) is built around 30 years of clinical practice associated with recurring successes of specific patient treatment programs. We established reproducible, outcome-based programs based on consistent evidence-based correlations, discovered with patient biomechanical, respiratory, and neurological functional patterns and limitations. My passion for the integrated systems of the body has resulted in an examination and intervention process of the asymmetrical human body called Postural Restoration.
