Carolyn graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy.  She has over 16 years of outpatient orthopedic experience and is presently at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans Vermont where she has been part of the rehab team for the past 7 ½ years. Carolyn’s professional development includes extensive continuing education including manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and Kinesio™ taping. She is certified in Postural Restoration™ and has a passion for treating acute and sub-acute injuries and chronic pain by evaluating postural patterns and asymmetries as they relate to abnormal forces on the musculoskeletal system.  Her goal is to continue to deepen her knowledge and to provide the best treatment and education to her patients for improved movement and quality of life.

Outside of her professional career, Carolyn lives in Georgia Vermont with her husband and three children.  She enjoys being active with her family including hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and volunteering at her church, school, and within the community.

History of Passion

The Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) is built around 30 years of clinical practice associated with recurring successes of specific patient treatment programs. We established reproducible, outcome-based programs based on consistent evidence-based correlations, discovered with patient biomechanical, respiratory, and neurological functional patterns and limitations. My passion for the integrated systems of the body has resulted in an examination and intervention process of the asymmetrical human body called Postural Restoration.
