Sayuri completed her undergraduate work at Texas State University-San Marcos in 2007 and earned her Master’s of Science degree in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology from the University of Florida in 2009. Prior to returning to her home country in 2018, Sayuri had worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Women's Basketball team & Instructor/Clinical Education Coordinator for 4 years (2010-2014) and an Assistant Clinical Professor/Clinical Education Coordinator for 4 years (2014-2018) at the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Sayuri is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Teikyo University, Institute of Sports Science and Medicine. Sayuri has also been a core member of the PRI translation team since 2014, successfully translated and been delivering PRI courses in Japan.

History of Passion

The Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) is built around 30 years of clinical practice associated with recurring successes of specific patient treatment programs. We established reproducible, outcome-based programs based on consistent evidence-based correlations, discovered with patient biomechanical, respiratory, and neurological functional patterns and limitations. My passion for the integrated systems of the body has resulted in an examination and intervention process of the asymmetrical human body called Postural Restoration.
