It was a wonderful weekend teaching a Pelvis Restoration as a “hybrid" course. Teaching to professionals attending the course in person and through Zoom was exciting and humbling. Thank you to everyone who attended. Your desire to learn and passion for the Science of PRI is amazing. We had great questions and interaction through both forums this past weekend. We had energy. We had passion. We had a desire to learn. I felt an improved understanding of the “external” support of the pelvis with tri-planar movement (especially the frontal plane) was understood at a deeper level for improved regulation of internal pressure and airflow. I felt course attendees appreciated the PRI objective tests and how they can assist them clinically to improve PRI Non-Manual Techniques selection for patient treatment. I also felt in insight was also gained in not only “re-positioning” the pelvis but then “re-training” that pelvis for left stance and right swing with our goal to “restore” for reciprocal and alternating movement.

We were “world-wide” this past weekend with course attendees from all across the U.S. and internationally. Thank you again for all that came. It was great to teach as it makes me a better clinician.

Boy is was good to be back teaching a live course this year. It was food for my spirit to have human interaction and comradery. My fellow colleagues that attended this weekend’s Pelvis Restoration Course were also grateful to be attending a live course as well. We all needed it. We did it safely for our community and each other. We had four professionals attending their first PRI course and several were attending their 3rd course or more this weekend. I feel the class took away the value of the pelvic inlet and outlet positioning needed not only to achieve left stance and right swing, but the value of this positioning to integrate with the respiratory diaphragm in the thorax for the left and right sided hemi-pelvis’ to compress and decompress to allow for Forward Locomotor Movement. Having a smaller class size afforded more personalized lab time for PRI tests, techniques, and practice. It was a fun fun weekend to teach and to learn. Thank you IRG for hosting Pelvis Restoration in Mill Creek.

What a great weekend in Tucson, Arizona this past weekend! I not only got to enjoy blue skies and 65 degrees (Lincoln, NE snowy and 20 degrees), but I also had the pleasure of introducing a third of the class to PRI. It was a great weekend of pelvic inlet and pelvic outlet going into the weeds of detail with muscle actions, positions, and objective testing. The class participation was great with questions, participation, and engagement. I felt the participants appreciated the objective tests and how they can make improved PRI exercise selections when understanding what these tests are showing them. I also felt the power of the respiratory and pelvic diaphragms for internal pressure regulation and air flow were better understood with correct pelvic position. The facility was amazing and thank you to Ben and the University of Arizona for hosting Pelvis Restoration this past weekend. It was a great start to 2020!

It was a great weekend in New York teaching Pelvis Restoration. We had 48 clinicians attending the course and 13 were attending their first PRI Course….they made it! Pelvis entails positioning of the pelvic inlet and outlet coupled with muscles facilitation and inhibition with respiration. It’s a lot. I felt the class did an amazing job absorbing the material and asking wonderful questions. Edmund, Sebastian, and Romina your thinking and questioning benefiting the entire class, thank you. Frontal plane appreciation with synchronization of the respiratory and pelvic diaphragm were emphasized with demonstration. Nicole is your left ischial condylar adductor still burning? Geri, I hope you appreciated frontal plane of the left inlet and outlet to re-direct airflow into the right apical chest wall and left posterior mediastinum. Physical appreciation of PRI is powerful, thank you both for letting me teach throught you to the class. The weekend went way too fast, I appreciated everyone and their willingness to come and learn. Thank you Dave, Cuyler, and Brendan and Finish Line for hosting. Neal and Sean thank you for lab assisting! I was able to see the Rockettes in their annual Christmas show,  it was specatular!  Bucket List for me since I was young. Thank You again!

Thank you Forward Fitness (Mike) for hosting Pelvis Restoration this past weekend. Fourteen healthcare and fitness practitioners were attending their FIRST PRI course. Seasoned PRI course attendees were also present and helpful for our newbies. I am more convinced than ever getting a sound foundation and understanding of the three primary PRI courses helps us the most clinically to assist our patients, athletes and clients.

Appreciation of PRI objective tests and how they demonstrate PRI neutrality, need for clinical inhibition of muscle, frontal plane integration, and restoring the human gait pattern for a reciprocal and alternating pelvis were capitalized this past weekend. Most importantly, hitting home how the respiratory and pelvic diaphragm and synchronization of the left and the right side for integration of all the above to occur.

I truly appreciate all that attended and sacrificed a weekend away from family and friends to learn. It was a beautiful fall weekend, but we rocked it inside learning and developing our skills.

A shout out to Jon, Tim, and Nancy who brought treatment tables. Nancy Hammond my amazing lab assistant, your passion for PRI is inspiring. Again, thank you Mike for hosting your first PRI course. It was truly humbling to teach you all.

It was another great PRI weekend in Santa Barbara, CA. Thank you Peter for hosting this past weekend. The breakfast burritos and fruit and your hospitality were amazing. The theme of the weekend was applying the science and concepts of PRI at the pelvis with patients with simplicity. Understanding these concepts and tests assist with making PRI non-manual techniques much easier with better patient outcomes. It was a great group of practitioners with a passion for PRI and learning. Many were attending their 3rd or 4th PRI course and we had three newbies in the group. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. I was humbled to be your "coach" for the weekend.

What a fun weekend of teaching Pelvis Restoration this past weekend in Lancaster. Nearly 3/4 of the class was attending their FIRST PRI course. I know many individuals have opinions what primary course attendees should attend first and many think Pelvis should be the last to attend of the the three primary courses. That being said, these professionals were amazing with understanding new concepts, looking at the pelvis in the detail of position, muscle facilitation/inhibition, and application of PRI tests needed for treatment. Yes, it's a lot of material, but one must understand it's the integrator between Postural Respiration and Myokinematic Restoration. If you don't have a pelvic inlet you won't get a ZOA needed for trunk rotation (Postural Respiration). If you don't have inlet and outlet frontal plane control you won't manage a hip (Myokin). My fellow course participants got it and did amazingly well. What an awesome weekend, learning shouldn't stop in our careers! Thank you for being open minded to new concepts and I hope you all come to love PRI as much as I do.

It was a wonderful weekend in Roseville, CA not only experiencing balmy weather of 58 degrees (back home it was below 0) but teaching my first Pelvis Restoration course in 2019 to these professionals. Close to half of the class was experiencing their first PRI course and this group asked awesome questions. Those attending the course for the second time also really appreciated the course updates with the Hruska Abduction Lift Test and respiration concepts related to the pelvic diaphragm. I truly feel that a deep understanding and appreciation for the three Primary Courses in PRI is key for clinic outcomes. Thank you Suzi and the staff at Sutter Physical Therapy for your hospitality and to Caleb Chiu for your amazing lab assistance.

Thank you Ryan Murray and the rest of the Fortius Athletic Staff for hosting Pelvis Restoration this past weekend. Also, a huge thank you to Jon Rowe, CSCS, PRT, for being my lab assistant.

This class was awesome with their questions, desire to learn and their attention the entire weekend. This course is challenging from the sheer amount of information given and you guys did great. Pelvis Restoration goes into great detail with position, muscle inhibition/facilitation and respiratory concepts behind "AFIR" and "AFER." I feel the concept of push/pull and asymmetry between the left and right side for alternation during the gait cycle hit home. Vancouver is a beautiful city and I hope to come back and visit. Thanks again!!

A huge shout out to Amy Goddard from Goddard Orthopedic and Sports Therapy for hosting Pelvis Restoration this past weekend in Dallas, TX. You are simply awesome. Thank you for everything from room set-up, food, organizing a dinner out Saturday, lab assisting, and your passion for PRI. Half of the class was attending their first PRI course and the attendees varied from Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Athletic Trainers and Personal Trainers. The intellect in this group was amazing from seasoned PRI practitioners collaborating with their peers to assist them on their journey with PRI. This course "goes into the weeds" with AFIR/AFER tri-planar positioning of the pelvic inlet and outlet. If patients don't have correct facilitation and inhibition on the left and right sides for gait, they will struggle with FAIR/FAER and trunk rotation with compensation thru the neck and ankle. It was a great weekend with colleagues who have a desire to learn and are open minded to the complexities of the human body. Thank you to this class for a wonderful weekend. On a personal note, mixing my passion to teach with a quick trip to Waco, TX with my sister to take in the Magnolia Market from the show Fixer Upper. It was a great trip to Texas!!!
