I am not really sure where to begin.. I had one of the BEST times teaching Myokinematic Restoration at iFAST this past weekend.  Bill Hartman and his staff overwhelmed me with their kindness and passion for PRI. From the moment I arrived with Matt Hornung at the Spring Hill Suites to the send off gathering on Sunday night, I felt like I had known these course attendees my whole life. .  We all learned the Power of Position, Patterns, Performance and Parasympathetics for our atheletes and patients.  And they all got Poulinized in the process. The theme of this course was “AH HA! And Say What??"  We had a diverse group of clinicians from PTs, ATC’s, MT’s, CSCS’s, DC and PT students.  PRINATION is quickly evolving into PRIWORLD as one attendee, Aaron Boyle came from Australia to immerse himself in PRI with like-minded clinicians.  We came full circle on Sunday afternoon as the “Say What’s?” turned into “AH-Has”!  The new clinicians were enlightened to patterns that had come to appreciate with a different PRI lens. Thanks again to IFAST for making my cheeks hurt from laughing all weekend along!

What a great weekend teaching Myokinematic Restoration in Montreal at CoreXcellance!  I was fortunate to bring my husband Chris with me as my lab assistant.  Chris and I had a great time enlightening the multi-disciplinary course attendees about the Power of Position on Performance.  The Team of CoreXcellance is excited about the Integration of PRI into their facility and we had a diverse group of clinicians from Athetic Therapists, CSCS trainers, Massage therapists, Physiotherapists and Osteopathic physicians for Canada!  They are excited about PRI North of our border and it never gets old watching the  “Ah Ha” moments and Paradigm shifts.  At the end of the course, Chris took some time to share his experiences incorporating Myokinematic and PRI principles into the strength and conditioning arena!  We even enjoyed some Taste of Montreal a delicious dietary cheat “Poutine”. Thanks to all of our new Canadian friends for spending the weekend with us!  We look forward to growing PRI in Canada!

O Canada! Cue the National Anthem! This weekend I was accompanied by my friend and colleague, Josh Olinick, PT, PRC as my lab assistant. I enjoyed submersing myself in the “PRI think tank”  with Josh on the way to Windsor, Ontario. We read and reviewed the latest article that was found and posted on the PRI webite by Jason Masek, “The Effect of Pelvic Tilt on Radiographic Markers of Acetabular Coverage”.  What a great addition to the Myokinematics of the Hip and Pelvis course. The entire course I was able to connect AF position with the author’s findings of radiographic markers and how POSITION matters! Better yet was when host, Ryan Thomas told the class the reason he got interested in PRI was after reading the article “The Value of Blowing up a Balloon” co-authored by Josh and Dr. Kyndy Boyle, PT, PRC.

We finished the weekend with Josh explaining the science behind the Balloon exercise. This was a nice transition for those planning on attending the Postural Respiration course in Windsor next year.

Of the 21 attendees, 18 of them were hearing about PRI for the first time and they were following right along! They left excited about integrating PRI into the clinic, strength and conditioning facility and classroom! Thank you Richard, Ryan and the rest of the staff from Western Ontario Sports Injuries and Rehab for your excellent hospitality!

Of course there are Yellow VW's in Canada too!
