Joe Heiler from SportsRehabExpert.com recently featured Mike Cantrell in an audio interview on his website discussing the PRI MyoKinematic Restoration course plus answers some frequently asked questions about the PRI model, hip asymmetries that don't seem to fit a pattern, scoliosis, using a balloon to improve breathing, what type of 90/90 hip lift to use, and a whole lot more. Joe gave us permission to include the MP3 audio file on our website, so CLICK HERE to listen to the hour long interview with Mike!

Also, if you haven't already checked out SportsRehabExpert.com, it is definitely an excellent resource and PRI topics are commonly discussed on this site. Several other interviews have been conducted with Ron Hruska, Julie Blandin, Kevin Neeld, Michael Mullin, Neil Rampe and others discussing PRI in their respective fields! Check it out, if you haven't already!

We are excited to announce more information for the next year's Annual Interdisciplinary Integration Symposium! SAVE THE DATE now for April 16-17, 2015, at the Cornhursker Marriott Hotel in downtown Lincoln, NE!

The title for this year's symposium is Exension Powered People: Managing Self-Efficacy Through Integration. This 7th Annual Interdisciplinary Integration Symposium will bring together nine speakers from seven different disciplinary perspectives to share their expertise and experience on working with people who are driven to exceed, excel and excite at the expense of overextending their psychological and physiological systems. They will reflect on the behavior of these “extension powered people” and discuss and demonstrate operational treatment and intervention concepts and guidelines to reduce self-induced “need” for autonomic force. The participant will learn how to recognize conditions and factors that lead to unrealistic or unnecessary functional performance levels, that are often self-imposed or induced.Addressing powered behavior and poorly optimized mindsets through sports performance, vision and sports psychology intervention will allow the participant to complete realistic functional goals with those who will need to maintain supra-active extended systems to complete required personal outcomes and expectations, regardless of the complexity and realism of the task.Cranial occlusion with the atlas and oral occlusion influences on the posterior neuromuscular pattern of extension will be addressed, which will compliment discussion of how to safely strengthen and condition those who function in un-safe situations with the same extension pattern. Each of the speakers will apply neuroscience applications to conditions that relate to and reflect the high powered performer.

Speakers include:
Ron Hruska, MPA, PT
Heidi Wise, OD, FCOVD
Todd Stull, M.D., FAPA
Tracy Heller, Ph.D., CC-AASP
Tim Miles, Head Basketball Coach University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Margo Schnell, DDS
Bill Hartman, PT, CSCS
Dallas Wood, ATC, CSCS
Zachary Nott, CSCS, SCCC, PRT

Click here to view the full agenda! To reserve your seat, register today! More information about each speaker and their respective topic will be coming soon, so stay tuned!

The new Hamstring Protonic System (Protonics X1 System) is now available for purchase online. For those who might not be familiar with the Hamstring Protonic System, it was originally developed and patented by Ron Hruska in 1995 and has been used by clinicians for many years in treatment of patello-femoral pain, SI joint pain and many other symptoms related to the Left AIC pattern. Click here to access more information written by Ron Hruska on when a Hamstring Protonic System might be recommended.

PRC therapist Lisa Bartels recently submitted a letter with us sharing her excitement for the return of the Hamstring Protonic System as well as more information. There is also a special discounted program being offered for Postural Restoration Certified (PRC) and Postural Restoration Trained (PRT) professionals.

Click here for more information or to order your new Hamstring Protonic System (Protonics X1 System)!

It's officially Fall, which means that the Postural Restoration Trained (PRT) application deadline is quickly approaching. If you are interested in applying, applications must be received by October 15th. CLICK HERE to find out more information about the PRT credentialing program. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me!

Here are a few testimonials from some of those who have completed the PRT credentialing program:

"It was one of the most meaningful two days that I have ever had! Thank you guys so much for providing us this opportunity."
- Akihito Tajima, ATC, PEC, PRT

"Everything was great! Really good stimulated critical thinking and application of the information. The two days flowed really well and built off of everything before it. The application process was a great learning experience in itself."
- Andrew Hauser, ATC, CSCS, PRT

"While the application process was quite rigorous, it sets a high standard and I feel confident with my colleagues' passion, intellect and knowledge regarding PRI. The credentialing process was a complete joy and an additional learning process!"

Emily Soiney emailed this gem of an article (which she found while putting together the PRI Integration for Yoga affiliate course) to both Ron and I last week, and I can honestly say that Ron probably hasn't slept the same since then! If you are interested in reading more about lateralization related to the CNS and ANS, be sure to print this article off and add it to your must read list!
