Ron has a strong interest in myokinematic and biomechanical influences on postural and peripheral adaptation patterns. His 26 years of clinical experience assists him with direct patient interventions based on specific examination and evaluation data that best reflects core stability, trunk symmetry and respiratory balance. He lectures extensively and consults regularly with physicians, physical therapists, researchers, and other healthcare providers across the United States on patterned postural discord and his approach of restoring symmetry throughout the body. His reputation has led to consultations with collegiate and professional athletes from a variety of arenas. Ron is the medical inventor of the Protonics® System. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Division of Physical Therapy. He currently is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, American Academy of Orofacial Pain, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association and the American Physical Therapy Association. Ron serves as the Biomechanical Consultant to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln through the Division of Athletic Medicine. He is Director of the Postural Restoration Institute™ and practices at the Hruska Clinic, Restorative Physical Therapy Services, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

James received his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 1998. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he majored in kinesiology. He has been a faculty member for the Postural Restoration Institute™ for the past six years. James is currently Director of Spine Rehabilitation at The Rejuvenation Center in Omaha, one of the first clinics in the country to be designated a Postural Restoration Certified Center. He has combined extensive continuing education with collaborative research to attain clinical excellence in the non-surgical treatment of back, hip, knee, shoulder, and neck pain syndromes. He has consulted with various companies as course instructor and/or biomechanical consultant and lectured to hundreds of physicians, physical therapists and athletic trainers across the country. James's passion for educating students, clinicians, and other medical professionals has led to appointments as clinical instructor for several graduate programs and guest lecturer for a wide variety of local, regional, and national events. Michael Cantrell, MPT, PRC

Mike graduated from the University of Georgia in 1981 with a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics. After a period in the U.S. Army, he completed his Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. Mike's orthopedic skills continued to advance as he began practicing at the University of Georgia as the sole physical therapist for a population of 30,000 students. In 1992, he and his wife Tassie opened their private practice where Postural Restoration techniques are carried out with patients presenting a variety of diagnoses and often traveling from surrounding states. Mike's reputation for successful clinical outcomes and his background in nutrition, sports medicine and Postural Restoration has led to consultation and speaking opportunities within his local community and across the country. Lori Thomsen, MPT, PRC

Lori completed her Bachelor of Biology degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska and her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her 11 years of clinical experience has resulted in a strong passion for the Postural Restoration science and patient interventions. Lori has recently moved back to the Lincoln area from North Dakota where she enjoyed providing in-services to physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, coaches and athletes in the implementation of Postural Restoration in their practices. She currently practices at the Hruska Clinic, Restorative Physical Therapy Services in Lincoln, Nebraska. Lori is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Karen Jiran, MPT, PRC

Karen graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1990 with a BS Degree in Science and a minor in Athletic Training. In 1994, she earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the College of St. Catherine’s. Karen has practiced in outpatient orthopedic clinics since 1996. She has developed a reputation for the treatment of complex, chronic patients using the postural restoration approach leading to referrals from around the region and surrounding states. Karen’s knowledge of and skill in applying Postural Restoration techniques has resulted in a number of guest lectures ranging from the Twin Cities Marathon Sports Medicine Conference to lectures at the College of St. Catherine’s where Karen is a Clinical Faculty Member for the Physical Therapy Program. Resident physicians from the University of Minnesota observe Karen and her usage of Postural Restoration techniques. Carrie Langer, MPT, ATC, PRC

Carrie graduated from South Dakota State University in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training. In 1999, she received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University. Carrie is a certified athletic trainer as well as a practicing physical therapist. She has worked in the setting of outpatient orthopedics since 1993 and covers local high school athletic events. For the last 3 years she has been developing her skills in Postural Restoration and has experienced its success. The growth of her reputation has led to consultations and referrals for this specialty from therapists and physicians from a large geographic area. Carrie participates in the Physician Residency Program for the University of Minnesota, which involves weekly observation. Carrie has earned the designation of Postural Restoration Certified (PRC) as a result of advanced training, extraordinary interest & devotion to the science of postural adaptations, asymmetrical patterns & the influence of polyarticular chains of muscles on the human body as defined by the Postural Restoration Institute™.

Jason completed his degree in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He received his athletic training experience from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln & the University of Minnesota. After extensive experience in collegiate athletics, Jason has developed a strong background in sports medicine & athletic injuries with an emphasis in manual physical therapy. He currently practices at the Hruska Clinic, Restorative Physical Therapy Services in Lincoln, Nebraska. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, American Physical Therapy Association, & the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Raulan Young, MPT, PRC

Raulan received his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Andrews University in Dayton, Ohio in 1997. His undergraduate degree was in Athletic Training from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1994. Raulan currently owns ProActive Physical Therapy with offices in Twin Falls, and Burley Idaho. His practice specializes in the non-surgical treatment of back, neck, hip and knee pain, as well as headache. Raulan was among the first class to receive the distinction of Postural Restoration Certified (PRC) in 2004. He is currently an Associate Faculty at PRI and has lectured and instructed to many health professionals nationally regarding PRI concepts. Raulan also owns Full Swing Performance, which provides high-level athletic performance enhancement based on in-depth biomechanical and PRI principles. His clients include athletes in golf, skiing, snowboarding, running, ultra endurance cycling, and kayakers. Janie Ebmeier, PTA
Education Coordinator, Director of Certification

Janie received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her Physical Therapist Assistant certificate from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska. Her background in both business and physical therapy has provided a foundation for clinical and administrative roles at the Postural Restoration Institute. As Education Coordinator, Janie specializes in course development and creation of education materials and resources. As Director of Certification, she is growing a national network of therapists identified as leaders and advocates of Postural Restoration.
